Overview

Setting your location’s opening hours tells members when your coworking space is available for visits. These hours are informational only and appear throughout the portal to help members plan their visits—they do not prevent members from booking resources. To actually prevent bookings during specific dates or times (such as holidays or maintenance periods), use booking availability exceptions. These exceptions actively block members from selecting those dates when making reservations.
You’ll need administrator access to configure opening hours. If you don’t have the required permissions, contact your location administrator.

Configure Opening Hours

1

Access Opening Times Settings

Navigate to Opening Times Settings in your Néxudus dashboard.Click Settings in the main menu, then select your location from the location selector if you manage multiple spaces.
2

Set Daily Operating Hours

Configure the Opening times section to define your regular schedule: - Days of the week: Select each day your location operates - Opening time: Set the time your location opens (e.g., 8:00 AM) - Closing time: Set the time your location closes (e.g., 6:00 PM) - Closed days: Mark any days your location is not open (e.g., Sundays)
Opening times are informational only and do not prevent bookings. Members can still book resources at any time, even outside these hours. If you need to block bookings during specific periods, use booking availability exceptions instead.
Display accurate opening hours to help members understand when your location is staffed and available for them to visit.
3

Define Booking Availability Exceptions

Use the Booking availability exceptions section to manage dates when your location or resources are unavailable and you want to prevent bookings: - Exception name: Give your exception a descriptive name (e.g., “Summer closure” or “Annual maintenance”) - Start date: The first date of the unavailability - End date: The last date of the unavailability - Apply to: Choose whether this affects: - Your entire location - Specific resources or areas
Booking availability exceptions actively block members from booking during the specified dates. Unlike opening times (which are informational), exceptions prevent reservations from being made.
Use exceptions for dates when you cannot accommodate bookings, such as holidays, emergency closures, or scheduled maintenance.
4

Add Multiple Exceptions

Create separate exceptions for each closure or maintenance period: - Click the Add exception button to create a new entry - Fill in the details for each exception period - Save each exception individually
Plan ahead by adding exceptions for known holidays, planned maintenance, or seasonal closures well in advance.
5

Review and Save

Review all opening hours and exceptions for accuracy, then click Save to apply your changes.Your schedule is now live and will be visible to members in the portal.
Verify that your opening hours and exceptions appear correctly on the member-facing contact page and in the booking calendar.

Best Practices

Set opening times for visibility Configure your opening times to reflect when your location is staffed and available for member visits. These are informational and help members plan when to use the space. Use exceptions to block bookings Only use booking availability exceptions for dates when you truly cannot accommodate bookings (holidays, closures, maintenance). These actively prevent reservations. Account for transitions If your location has staggered hours (e.g., 7:00 AM on weekdays but 9:00 AM on weekends), set each day individually. Plan exceptions ahead Add booking availability exceptions for known holidays and planned closures at least 2-4 weeks in advance so members can plan accordingly. Communicate changes When you add exceptions, consider sending a notification to members so they’re aware of the blackout dates and cannot accidentally book during those periods. Test your schedule After saving, visit the member portal and verify that your opening times display correctly on the contact page and that exceptions properly block dates on the booking calendar. Review regularly Periodically review your opening times and exceptions to ensure they remain accurate, especially if your schedule changes seasonally.
